What vacuuming does and does not achieve
Vacuuming removes dry soil before foot traffic grinds it into the fibre, which is the single most useful thing anyone does for a carpet's life. Done properly it covers traffic lanes, open areas and edges, with under-desk and under-furniture areas reached where access allows. It will not remove a stain, restore flattened pile in a walkway or address soil that has already bonded to the fibre.
The practical inclusion question is coverage rather than presence. Every scope says vacuuming. Fewer say whether that means all accessible floor every visit, traffic areas every visit and full coverage on a stated rotation, or something in between. In a medical suite with fixed furniture and cabling, the difference is significant and worth writing down so the result matches the description. It also stops the same word meaning two different things to the practice and the provider.
